Mitsubishi ASX vs Nissan Kicks vs Outlander: Which SUV to Rent
The ASX and Kicks are compact five-seat crossovers. The Outlander is a class larger with a third row. For most families of four the ASX at AED 110 per day is enough. Step up to the Outlander at AED 175 for longer trips or a fifth passenger.

ASX or Kicks?
They are close rivals. Both seat five, sit higher than a sedan and fit standard parking bays. The ASX has a more traditional SUV shape and a boot rated for three bags in our fleet data. The Kicks is lighter in feel around town with a wide-opening tailgate. If one is available at a published rate and the other is on request, let price decide.
When is the Outlander worth the extra?
When three people share the back seat, when you carry a pushchair plus luggage, or when you plan long highway days. The Outlander is wider and quieter, and it has two folding seats in the boot for seven-seat use. At AED 1,200 per week against AED 650 for the ASX, you pay roughly double for that space.
Are these SUVs suitable for off-road driving?
Treat all three as road cars. They cope well with speed humps, kerbs and unpaved car parks. Desert and dune driving is a different activity and is normally excluded from rental insurance in the UAE.
